East Meets West is a charity working with projects and people in an area of Southern India. By raising funds and awareness in the UK,  EMW has attempted to engage many people with direct involvement with those in need in another part of the world.

We have been privileged to witness how a relatively small investment of money or time can produce a significant return in the the quality of a human life.

We work alongside several other groups and charities including the following:

VIA Design (www.viadesign.org) - a christian charity working through training and manufacturing projects enabling women and children to break out of their grinding poverty.

M.A.T. The Mahalir Aran Trust - a residential project supporting 150 women and children, run and founded by a remarkable couple - Mercy and Vinci Imondi. Over the past 20 years 750 women and children have passed through this centre and into lives with a better future and a clearer hope.

Recently, the primary aim of EMW has been to raise funding for the provision of a new Medical Centre in the local community, for work in Slum Schools in Bangalore and in some personal situations where a small investment can make a massive change to a persons life.
